Through our Continuous Professional Development programmes (CPEP), medical scientists have an opportunity to continue their professional education through a three-year cycle of partaking in learning opportunities. Points are accumulated over a three-year period leading to Certification points. 150 points must be accumulated in any three-year period.
Points are obtained by attending scientific meetings, workshops, courses and journal clubs. They can also be obtained through essay writing and involvement in the academic development of the profession, lecturing, undergraduate work, postgraduate work, and supervision.
On this site, each member will have their own CPEP file on which they can log in the work they have done. After validation of the work, points are added to the individual file of the member. The member can view their points at any time and also print off their certificate outlining the points that they hold at a given time.
